Childhood camping trips are some of our fondest and most cherished childhood memories. Even though what we remember back then as camping tents are easily remembered as cramped, damp, and musty on the second day of our camping trips. However, our camping tents today are designed to be useful and comfortable than were before. Below are some things to consider when deciding to buy a tent for your camping trip:

Which Tent is the Right Tent?

Deciding on what type of tent that will best fit your needs should be the first thing to do. You can find camping tents at WalMart that are good for warm weather and low elevation camping. You can also find three season tents which are better if you are a more adventurous camper as these are sturdier than the standard tents.

Checking out the actual usable space is better if you are setting up to buy a tent. Don’t rely on the ads that say it is good for two people as it doesn’t really mean a comfortable fit.

And because of that, offline shopping is better as you can test the tent personally and see if it really offers a comfortable space where you can spread yourself out.

Making the Tough Decision

Making design tradeoffs is necessary when shopping for a tent. Taller tents as an example gives pretty much comfortable space, however some find having these tents disturbing as they have the risk of being blast away by the wind.

But with a smaller tent you get to lack additional space, however getting your tent buffeted by the wind is out of your worries.

A little window shopping before buying gives you the chance to have the best tent whenever you are planning on buying a tent. Even if price varies from store to store, having a price comparison should be considered before buying one.

A camping trip is a great way to get away from every day life. Camping also means that you will probably be sleeping in a tent, and one type that many are using nowadays is the easy up tent.

One of the main reasons why anyone goes camping is to experience the great outdoors. With that said, no one wants to be uncomfortable either, especially while sleeping. Camping is much more fun when you can still have some of the comforts of home with you. You can get this with an easy up tent.

These tents are very simple in nature, and a very portable. Assembly and taking one down can be done in a very short period of time without much work. They take up little space when stored, and this makes them more convenient to transport. For those who enjoy hiking, you will find that carrying them is far less of a burden when compared to more traditional tents.

Another reason why the easy up tent is portable is because it’s so lightweight. If you are going to visit several camping sites in short period of time, then this is the type of tent you need.

Some may think that because easy up tents are lightweight, they also must be feeble. However, the tents made nowadays are made with material that is strong and durable. They are built to withstand adverse weather conditions. Also, many of these tents have protection against UV rays.

Some easy up tents are protected with coatings to keep dust away. When the material of the tent gets exposed to dirt, grime, and dust, it can begin to break down quickly and show signs of wear and tear.

Regardless your campsite location, you will run into insects and bugs. Several of the easy up tents available are protected against bugs and insects to help campers get the best experience possible. While away at the beach, a beach sun shade is a great way to protect against the elements while enjoying the beach.

A last minute camping trip used to involve a daypack filled with clothes, 12 pack of beer, a your 2 man backpacking tent. Your old 2 man tent has never failed you. It survived every kind of weather, hardships, misuse, and being thrown in the back of your old Jeep Wrangler for months at a time. It’s battered, beaten, and patched in more places than you can count on two hands, but it’s still standing. Well the old Jeep Wrangler has been retired and traded in for a minivan. It might be time to do the same for your old tent. 2 Man tents are just too small for a family man.

Last minute camping trips are no longer last minute. They are more like a full scale move. With a wife and two kids, you just need more room. Lately, you’ve been renting a cabin out at the lake for your weekend getaways, but you still want the freedom the tent provides. This is why you’re thinking about investing in a few 4 man tents for your family.

The 4 man tent will provide plenty of room for you, your wife, and children but still provide the freedom of movement that you miss so much. You won’t be stuck at a state Park. You can actually get some hiking done and go out into the woods. You can get away from the rec center, tennis courts, and basketball courts. You can actually get your children out in the woods and show them why you love it so much. Being a cabin with indoor plumbing in the kitchen is not roughing it. You would like to show your family or roughing it really is.

Just because you’re putting your tent pole backpacking tent into semi retirement doesn’t mean you’ll never use it again. You still have your old Jeep. You still take the top off and cruise on the weekends when it’s nice out. There might be a time when you just need to get away by yourself. That’s when you grab old faithful, but for family camping, a couple of 4 man tents is the way to go.

Traveling in your motor home or caravan is a great getaway for a vacation or even a weekend, while letting you maintain the basic comforts of home. However, the need for shelter and shade is essential for enjoying quality time wherever you choose to stop. Motorhome awnings have therefore become basic necessities when taking to the road in your recreational vehicle. Similar to porch awnings, motor home awnings are attached above the windows and doors, and can be set up in minutes to provide immediate protection against the basic elements of nature, namely the sun and the rain. However, if your home away from home is a caravan, a caravan porch awning may be what you need.

Caravans tend to be smaller than motor homes simply because they are designed to be pulled behind a vehicle rather than driven as one. Caravan porch awnings are the ideal solution for extending the limited space that caravans provide. Both practical and functional, these tent-like structures can be put up next to your caravan with the use of the awning rails that run along the top porch. Fully enclosed, they provide privacy as well as the extra room needed for sleeping or relaxing, and come in a variety of materials and styles to fit to look of your caravan. Once installed, caravan porch awnings are typically collapsible and retractable, which eliminates the need for disassembling when you are ready to move.

Lightweight caravan porch awnings tend to be the most popular simply because they are lighter than standard awnings and are easier to handle, and like all awnings, they are made of materials that are durable, weatherproof, and fire retardant. Cleaning is generally as simple as soap and water. This being said, remember that while the materials are also mildew resistant, it is a good idea to allow them to completely air dry after your travels before putting them away.

Traveling by motor home or caravan can be a wonderful way to while away your weekend. The shelter and shade provided by an awning will make the experience that much more enjoyable.

When searching for a tent, one of the first things that will be considered is size. Tents come in a number of standard sizes including the single person tent, the 2 man model, the 4 man tent and even bigger. You will have to think about how you will travel to your destination and who will be going on the trip. Two people will need a tent that sleeps at least two people but a bigger one will give you more space to spread out. People who like to hike to their destination will want the lightest shelter they can possibly find. The tent also needs to be compact enough to carry along with all the rest of your gear. Even when going camping with a car, a heavy tent can get in the way and be difficult to work with. One of the smaller four man models is a popular choice for people who are looking for a good balance between convenience and space.

There will be other choices after you make a decision about what size tent to purchase. You must remember that manufacturers do not make their tents according to standard sizes. One company may make a 2 man tent that is of a similar size to a four person tent manufactured by a different company. It will take some time to review the various options and compare different brands to find the right size tent for your specific needs. You will want to purchase something that is simple to set up. There are several models that provide pop-up installation. Weather protection and strength are two characteristics to look for. Look at all the different models and find something that suits you.

Tents are usually sold according to how insulated they are. Four season tents are the most resistant to harsh weather conditions and are the strongest. Three season tents are the next strongest and a two season tent will be the lightest weight and offer the least amount of protection. Choose the one that fits for the time of year that you will be camping.

There are many accessories that can be added like storage rooms, bug netting and ground covers. Research the various options and select the tent that will fit all your requirements.

You have always been known as a “hotel-type” traveler. For you, roughing it up is to sleep in a motel without the comfort of a basic pool. Today, budget is always the first consideration even when traveling. Luckily, camping offers the same comfort as the previously mentioned motel. But when you say camping, that means camping gears. A tent is usually first to be considered.

When buying your first tent, some guidelines must be considered.

Deciding what size the tent should be is first to be considered. Would you want a 2 man tent, a 3 man tent, or a huge tent for the whole family? You wouldn’t want to be burdened by a huge four-man tent when traveling alone, would you? As a rule, buy a tent so that the size would be two people more than the actual that would be sleeping inside. This would give you plenty of extra room, which would be appreciated. When bringing the whole family, it would be wise to divide the tent using a curtain to separate the adult and the children quarters.

Another thing to be considered is the actual use of the tent. Will the tent be used on a camping trip or hiking in the rugged terrains? If you have to carry it through the trip, make sure it is lightweight. Also, consider its size and ease when assembling it. You would not want anything too cumbersome.

It is wise to visit stores to actually see the dimension of the tent you are considering. After which, you can either buy it there, or on reputable online stores, or eBay. Consider decent brands which are actually numerous in the market. This assures you of superior construction and quality materials. These companies offer helpful advice on repairs and also carry limited warranties.

Camping can be as traditional or as luxurious as you desire. It is a brilliant way to save money when traveling while still being able to enjoy the experience of being in the place.

Camping can be so much fun especially if it is quality time spent with family members. If you plan on bringing along your whole family with you, then it would be best to own a family cabin tent. Today, family cabin tents are becoming very popular since they are ideal for summer camping with the whole family. Family tents are amazing for they can fit your whole family together in just one tent. They make camping trips easier. What makes them more interesting is that you can even invite your kids to join you in setting the tent up hence giving you some time to bond with one another.

If you are planning to buy your own family tent, you must consider the size of the tent you are about to buy. You must know how many people are to sleep in it so that you can make sure how big the tent that you need to buy should be. Always make sure that everyone you bring along can fit into your cabin tent. Aside from the tent size, you also need to consider how many multiple rooms that the tent you are about to buy has. This is a very important factor to consider especially if there are many families coming along with you on your camping trip. Multiple rooms are necessary for they give campers a sense of privacy. An example of which is the living room, this is a perfect place to have some fun time with family members during night time while you are camping.

Other factors that you need to consider when buying family cabin tents are the flooring and ceilings. These two parts of your tent should be water proof. It is also important to consider the tent’s durability. Make sure that you choose the family tent that can last a long time and one that is not easily destroyed. It is highly suggested that you choose the biggest cabin tent for your family camping. Family cabin tents can provide you and your family’s needed space since it has ceilings that are high and walls that are vertical. Most of the recently made cabin tents that are available on the market today are of good quality and are durable. However, there are some which are very expensive. Family tents are just similar to other things that you buy. You always get your money’s worth. For this reason, it would be best no to worry about the price so much as long as you get the best camping tent that that your family needs.

If you enjoy camping but do not relish the idea of struggling with a cumbersome tent pitching process, you will love a pop up tent. These portable homes away from home are flexible, lightweight and fold nearly flat for easy transport. About the only thing you might need to help you pitch your tent is a mallet. All other accessories, including pegs and guy ropes, come with the tent. Whether you want a small 2 man tent or a larger 3 room tent for your entire family, there is a pop up available.

Pop ups are not the ideal for every camping experience, however. Their flexibility requires that they be made with a single skin, which means the material is only one layer thick, and less protective from the elements. You will not want to use your pop up if the weather is windy or very cold.

Before pitching your pop up tent there are some things to watch out for. You’ll want to put your tent on flat ground. The alternative would be to pitch your pop up with the door facing downhill so rain does not get inside. Make sure you are not putting it under any trees, where lightning would have to be a concern. Once you selected your camping spot, remove all twigs and stones from the ground. The last thing you will want is a tear in the fabric of your tent floor.

The steps for pitching a pop up tent clarify the appeal of this handy camping house. All you have to do to assemble your temporary residence is to pull off the restraining band on the ten, place the tent where you want it, and use the mallet to secure it by driving the pegs and guy ropes into the ground. Nothing could be easier!

Camping has always been a great adventure and a perfect way for the family and friends to get some great quality time in the great outdoors. It is great for kids because it is an playground with infinite adventures. However, this great adventure can become very miserable really quick if the proper precautions are not taken before the trip. Meaning camping can become a disaster if a thunderstorm sneaks up to you early in the morning and your tent leaks water and soaks your sleeping bag.

Finding cheap tents can be exciting for the adventure and the great price but, proper equipment is a must. We will address some of these posative and negative aspects to cheap tents.

Pro’s

The biggest pro is obviously the good deal. Everyone loves to get a deal or at least think they are getting a good deal. Just by human nature people are apt to spend more money than they planned on if they think the deal is a good one. Many online stores are offering deals on cheap tents to lure people in. Be careful and the most important recommendation is to do a little research and know exactly what you want and what you are looking for. When you know what you are looking for and have some knowledge about tents then it won’t be as easy to get yourself in a sticky situation.

Con’s

A con about purchasing a cheap tent would be finding out later that the tent is damaged, made of poor quality and not a tent that can weather the storm. I have camped all over the nation in all types of weather. Trust me when I say this, while camping your biggest asset is your tent. Investing a little time and money so you know that you are protected during your camping adventure can reduce the stress quite a bit. For example, I recently went camping next to the Royal Gorge in Colorado. We were in a hurry to set up our tent and out of my own haste I didn’t stake the tent to the ground because I didn’t think it would rain. We went to eat and just after we ordered a wind and rain storm came in blowing like crazy. I was so nervous that when we returned back to camp our tent would be blown away and our stuff would be soaked. Luckily, it was not. However, it would have been much more comforting knowing that the tent was safely staked to the ground. Same thing with buying cheap tents. Make sure you know your product and that it is the adequate equipment that you need for a great camping trip.

I hope this has helped you make your decision on finding a great tent. If you are seeking more knowledge about camping or looking for great deals and quality camping gear visit www.2mantentsale.com.

For most campers the most important element of camping is the tent. A tent allows people to get in from extreme temperatures and weather such as rain. It also gives you a place with some privacy. But how do you know which tent is right for you? There are so many different options.

1st, When selecting cheap tents you can’t simply look at a price and if it’s low enough say “great” and buy it. You need to understand if the tent is going to fit your needs and protect you from the great outdoors.

Some of the most important factors are:

Ventilation: You don’t want a tent that is poorly ventilated. It will trap all of the hot air right back in the tent with you creating a miserable night. It’s important that the tent has more than one vent and can thoroughly help circulate the air into the tent.

Rain Fly: Make sure your tent includes a rain fly and a good one at that. A flimsy rain fly that will barely cover your tent isn’t much better than not having one all. A good rainfly will covere your tent and a little area around your tent so that you don’t have to worry about the ground immediately outside of your tent being muddy.

Seams Sealed: It doesn’t matter whether or not the tent company that designed the tent seals it or if you seal it later, it just needs to be made sure that it is done. It’s really inportant that the seams are sealed and if they are not you can fix this up with duct tape. You don’t want to have to worry about leaks or holes getting in your tent.

3 season tent or 4 season tent ? There is also the debate over 4 season tents and 3 season tents and which you actually need. For the majority of campers a 3 season tent should be plenty sufficient. They are made to withstand most of the temperatures and climates that come their way. However, if you know that you will be doing winter camping as well a 4 season tent is essential to keep you from the extreme weather. They are built better and last longer because they are being designed to go up against such harsh conditions.

You are also going to want to consider what size tent you want. Do you want a large tent or just room for yourself? Do you need a 2 man, 4 man or 6 man tent or one that fits even more. Are you bringing a lot of stuff that has to fit in the tent with you and how long and far do you have to carry it. Will the weight of the tent be too much to carry if you are hiking a long distance. If you are going to be hiking a long distance you probably don’t want a 40 pound tent coming along with you.

So when you are comparing cheap tents make sure that you don’t let the price be the only factor of whether or not you buy the tents.
